The Kindezi School, a K – 8 grade Atlanta Public Schools (APS) charter school founded in 2010, has rapidly become one of Atlanta’s highest performing schools. The Kindezi Schools are looking for exceptional K-8 grade teachers for the 2015-16 school year who have a heart for teaching students in small groups based on the individual needs of learners, developing strong relationships with students and their parents, and embracing leadership roles in the school.

Locations: Positions will be available either in the West End, specifically at 1890 Detroit Avenue NW; Atlanta, GA 30314 or at the new location in inner-city Atlanta; exact location TBA.

· grades 6-8 teachers: specialize in one subject area (math, science, ELA, or social studies)
· All teachers will also teach at least one “Specials” class (Art, PE, Music, World Language, etc.) per week with 12-24 students

Some benefits:
· Small classes of 6-8 students and ability to truly meet the needs of all learners
· Focus on just teaching 1-2 subjects rather than teaching all subjects
· More autonomy in the classroom and opportunities for growth and development
· Leadership opportunities, strong administrative, and school support
· Being a part of an innovative, dynamic, instructional movement

2. Send a current resume and a cover letter cover to Mrs. Gilberte Pascal (Principal of the new Kindezi school) at gpascal@kindezi.org

3. Log onto http://www.kindezi.org/apply.html to complete an online teacher application.

For more information about alternate certification and for help with your application materials, please contact Susan Belmonte, Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching Advisor. sbelmonte@gatech.edu.
