The Breman Museum is in need of docents for the Absence of Humanity: The Holocaust Years Gallery. Between 1933 and 1945, in Germany and other Eastern European countries, six million men, women and children were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators. These people did not die because they were soldiers in battle. Neither were they guilty of any crimes. They died for one reason only: they were Jews.

Docents at The Breman Museum teach the lessons of the Holocaust to over 12,000 school children annually. Docent candidates will train with current docents to learn how to lead school children on guided tours of our Holocaust Gallery. No prior experience or background in history is required.

The 2014 Docent Candidate Course will begin on August 19, 2014 and candidates will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 5 weeks. If you are interested, please apply online or contact Jennifer Reid at 404-870-1632 or by email at jreid@thebreman.org.
