Date/Time:
Friday, September 5, 2014 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Location: Global Learning Center and the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center
On Friday, September 5, 2014 the Office of Institute Diversity will host the Sixth Annual Diversity Symposium.
This year’s program will include a presentation and discussion on the results of the GT Climate Assessment Survey, a town hall style discussion called the “Voices of Georgia Tech” focused on diversity, and inclusion at GT and will conclude with the Diversity Symposium Awards Luncheon which features Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, President of Morehouse College of Medicine, as the keynote speaker.
The “Voices of Georgia Tech” is a new addition to the Diversity Symposium and is designed for us to learn about the individual experiences of the members of our campus community and to better understand our campus climate and culture. An important goal of the forum is to provide a safe setting for faculty, staff, and students to express their views and opinions about our strengths and our challenges as we strive to make GT a model community for diversity and inclusion.
There’s something for everyone, so please visit www.diversitysymposium.gatech.edu to get a detailed agenda of the day’s events and forward this information to co-workers or others you think may be interested in joining this important community event.
