Important Registration Reminders

Posted by Admin On 12:02:00 PM
Just a few reminders as you finalize your registration during this first week of classes.

1. Registration closes at 4.00 PM on Friday the 22nd.  Any changes made after that, even at 4.01 PM, will result in a "W" on your transcript.

2. Full time student standing requires that you be registered for 12 hours.

3. All students who began in fall 2010 or more recently are required to finish ENGL 1101, ENGL 1102, and MATH 1712 *or* 1501 early in their college careers.  The credit limit by which you must take these classes varies from 60 hours to 30 hours, with any student who started in fall 2012 or after required to take these classes in their first 30 hours.  You can refer to http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/students/ugrad/core/corea1.php to see the policy for English andhttp://www.catalog.gatech.edu/students/ugrad/core/corea2.php to see the policy for math.

4. All students who began at Georgia Tech *OR* changed into a new major since summer 2012 must fulfill the Global Perspectives requirement.  You must take one class from this list of approved classes: http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/students/ugrad/core/gp.php.  This class can also be used to fulfill a social science or humanities elective (i.e., it's the one place in the curriculum where you can "double dip").

Have any advising questions?  HTS and UIAC majors with last names A - L should contact Dr. D'Unger and UIAC students with last names M - Z should contact Ms. Hertel.  Appointments can be scheduled at www.advising.gatech.edu.
