Summer Grads Interested in Fall Commencement

Posted by Admin On 11:12:00 AM
Starting on July 1, summer students interested in participating in fall commencement will be able to register an email address with the Office of Special Events. If you have any additional questions after reading the information below, please contact Institute Communications - Special Events to be of further assistance.

Dates - July 1 to July 31

How do students register? A link to the form will be on the commencement webpage (www.commencement.gatech.edu) starting July 1. Students will also receive an email from the office with the link to remind them.

Why do we ask students to register? We recognize two complications with summer graduates- students stop checking their Georgia Tech email and not all students wish to return to walk in fall, which impacts our ticket numbers. By asking students to register an email with us and indicate they intend to return, we can have a more accurate count for fall semester and ensure our communications are getting through.

Key Points

This is NOT an RSVP to the fall ceremony. We are only asking students if they are interested in receiving information in the fall.

Summer students will still have to complete the online ceremony RSVP form in September on the commencement website.
Students may purchase their regalia now, if they wish. Regalia is at Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech.
Any STUDENT questions should be addressed to our general email, events@comm.gatech.edu, for the quickest response.
