Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with the coordination of Georgia Tech Institute-level events, including: Commencement ceremonies; Commencement Fair; Faculty & Staff Honors Luncheon; Student Honors Luncheon; Retirement Dinner; When the Whistle Blows; Groundbreaking/Dedication ceremonies; and other events as assigned
· Manage and maintain the general office email account and web inquiries
· Create content for and edit publications, letters, and mailings
· Assist the Special Events & Protocol team in maintaining event-related websites
· Interface with multiple constituencies, including, but not limited to Georgia Tech executive level administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and students, and internal and external vendors
· Assist in the creation and execution of event communication and production plans
· Organize and maintain event-related files and materials
· Create and maintain databases and event-related spreadsheets
· Create content and features for weekly blog
· Brainstorm and develop new ideas for events
· Research event- and protocol-related issues and projects
· Assist in marketing and promotion of events, including, but not limited to: posting materials across campus; sending mass mailings; creating and/or updating social media outlets; creating ads; etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous knowledge of events and/or communications-related field
· Availability for multiple semesters
· Creative and proactive attitude
· Communications and interpersonal skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite
· Experience with multiple social media outlets
· Experience with Adobe Suite
· Exposure to web design
