Whitefoord, Inc. is currently seeking interns who are interested in marketing internships. Two positions are available in their development department: Marketing and Development Internship and Social Media Marketing Internship.

Marketing and Development Internship:
Do you like juggling multiple tasks? Do you have a flexible approach to changing priorities? Are  you obsessed with databases and data? Do you have creative energy that you are eager to get out of your system? Do you enjoy helping others and being part of social change? Want to help make a difference for children and families? If you answered “yes” to the preceding questions, you may be just the person Whitefoord, Inc. is looking for! We are seeking a highly dedicated individual who will be excited to learn more about nonprofit development and outreach. The Marketing and Development intern will work closely with our Vice President of Marketing and Development to execute fundraising and outreach strategies.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, able to handle many tasks at once, has 
strong writing, editing and research skills, and can function well with minimal supervision. This
position provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of a nonprofit
organization and the environment.

Essential Functions and Learning Opportunities:
  • Assist with research activities on donors, foundations, and corporation
  • Help coordinate outreach events 
  • Assist with donor mailings and drafting correspondence
  • Explore grant opportunities and assist with the preparation of proposals
  • Maintain database of donor activity
  • Assemble marketing materials
  • Plenty of additional opportunities in related projects
What We Require:
  • Background in marketing, communication, non-profit management or other related discipline
  • Strong communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Creative and Flexible
  • Interested in nonprofit management and community development


We value all of our interns and go the extra mile to make sure you receive a learning experience that fits your career goals. You will become extremely knowledgeable in donor development, and develop an understanding of the right tactics to combine fundraising with overarching outreach goals. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other professionals in the non-profit field.

Benefits:
This position is unpaid and can be used for college credits. We request a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Social Media Marketing Internship:Are you obsessed with google analytics? Do your friends consider you the King or Queen of Facebook and Twitter? Do you have creative energy that you are eager to get out of your system? Do you get a thrill out of keeping up with the latest trends in social media? Do you enjoy helping others and being part of social change? Want to help make a difference for children and families? If you answered “yes” to the preceding questions, you may be just the person Whitefoord, Inc. is looking for! We are seeking a highly dedicated individual who will be
excited to create social media content for Whitefoord programs. The Social Media Marketing intern will help promote our programs through social media channels, as well as traditional marketing channels.


Essential Functions and Learning Opportunities:
  • Create a long term social media plan and content/marketing calendar.
  • Write new content for Whitefoord’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other outlets to promote our programs.
  • Relationship building with our online community by maintaining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media accounts.
  • Track social media analytics, and report results and new ideas.
  • Create compelling content that will be shared by influencers.
  • Research and report on new social media trends and services.
  • Find and cultivate social media contacts to spread the word about Whitefoord activities. 
  • Assist Vice President of Marketing and Development in building and presenting social media strategy. 
  • Plenty of additional opportunities in related projects.
