Become a Mentor/Tutor to Latino Students

Posted by Admin On 11:54:00 AM
The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) is looking for enthusiastic mentors and tutors interested in making a difference in the life of young Latino students! Consider joining Pathways Gwinnett, part of CEISMC’s Pathways to College programs.

Pathways Gwinnett provides academic mentoring for middle and high school students in the Meadowcreek High School cluster in the Gwinnett County Public Schools system. Academic mentors meet with high school students during the school day to improve their academic performance, expose them to STEM careers, and provide information about college. Mentors serve as facilitators for a weekly afterschool program for middle school students. Mentors facilitate hands-on-activities with students, engage them in writing, and expose them to STEM careers.

If you are interested in serving as a tutor or mentor, please visit the Pathways Gwinnett website to learn more about the programs and download an application.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact by e-mail ceismcmentoringprogram@gmail.com or alba.gutierrez@cetl.gatech.edu

or by phone 404-894-6984
