The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum houses one of the preeminent paper collections in the world. Founded by Dard Hunter, the collection contains thousands of artifacts related to papermaking and paper from around the world. The mission of the museum is to collect, preserve, increase, and disseminate information about papermaking — past, present, and future. The museum is part of the Institute of Paper Science and Technology, a research facility at Georgia Tech, and serves as a resource for students, faculty, and staff. One way that the museum supports the Institute is by providing experiences for students to develop skills relevant to their professional life. Volunteers, interns, and student workers are valuable assets to the museum and are able to make meaningful contributions to the museum, campus, and community.
