Daisy Alliance, an Atlanta-based nongovernmental organization, is seeking interns for the Spring 2013 semester. Daisy Alliance is dedicated to improving global security through nuclear arms control. They seek to mitigate the security risks posed by nuclear weapons by promoting domestic policies that support nuclear arms control and by encouraging international cooperation to decrease the reliance on nuclear weapons.

Job Duties:
The primary duties are as follows: researching and booking speaking events, maintaining a calendar of events, researching grant-making foundations, maintaining the Facebook page, composing a monthly newsletter and blog, and general office duties. Additional duties include assisting in the organization/set-up of events and assisting the Program Director with upcoming Daisy Alliance projects, including grant proposals, public opinion research, and the development of a course on nuclear weapons.
Qualifications:Current undergraduate or graduate students or recently graduated students are encouraged to apply. The minimum Grade Point Average requirement is a 3.0. The student should have an interest in international affairs, and nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation. A strong familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Strong written, oral, research and analytical skills are also required. HTML experience is a plus. Interns must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.
