Have You Taken the GACE?

Posted by Admin On 2:17:00 PM
Have you taken the Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Recently?  Or are you going to take it soon?

Susan Belmonte, Pre-Teaching Advisor, would like to know who has taken the GACE, in which subject, and if you passed. Having this information will help her compile a list of qualified candidates to provide to metro Atlanta school districts’ hiring officials.

Individuals who pass the GACE content area assessments may pursue teaching positions in the state without having full (clear renewable) certification. Alternate routes to certification exist for individuals who have passed the GACE but have not completed the 30 hours of required coursework.  A county may hire an individual who has passed the GACE but who has not completed the coursework.

Please email Susan at sbelmonte@gatech.edu.
