In 1997, Jennifer Orr, the president of the Georgia Tech Womens Student Union, began Womens Awareness Month, a month of programming to increase awareness of womens issues at Georgia Tech. Since then, Womens Awareness Month has developed into an annual spring event that brings female role models to the Georgia Tech campus and develops programs that provoke questioning about and discussion of womens issues and women’s roles on the Georgia Tech campus and in society. For more information about Womens Awareness Month, please visit www.wam.gatech.edu.
Women's Awareness Month is now accepting applications for our 2012-2013 executive committee. All other position applications (aside from WAM Chair) are due by Monday, April 23 at 5pm. If interested, please fill out our application online. If you have any questions, please contact Melanie DeMaeyer (mdemaeyer@gatech.edu).
