Dominique Behnke will be a visiting scholar here at Georgia Tech. She studied modern history and philosophy at the Heinrich Heine - University of Düsseldorf (Germany) where she obtained a masters degree in history in 2005. She started her graduate work in 2006 in the graduate college "The Sciences in Historical Context" at the university of Vienna. She is now a graduate student at the Insitute of Contemporary History in Vienna. Currently she is finishing her dissertation on theories and images of aging and the development of gerontology in the divided Germany (1945-1990).
