On Thursday, April 26th, the Schools of Economics,
History Technology and Society, and Public Policy are pleased to announce
a visit by Professor James Fleming. He will be giving two
lectures, the first is at 4 pm in Neely Room in the Library entitled:
"Fixing the Sky: Rube Goldberg meets Dr. Strangelove"
On Friday the 27th, he will also give a talk at 1:30 pm in G10 on "The Emergence of Atmospheric Science, 1930-1960."
James Fleming is a historian of science and technology and Professor of Science, Technology and Society at Colby College, Maine. His teaching bridges the sciences and the humanities, and his research interests involve the history of the geophysical sciences, especially meteorology and climate change.
