Teach for Georgia is a great opportunity for Georgia Tech students who are interested in giving back to the community by teaching math and/or science in rural Georgia. There is a critical shortage of qualified math and science middle and high school teachers in the rural areas of our state. Teach for Georgia is modeled after the Teach for America program. If accepted to the prugram, you receive:
  • A teaching position to teach math or science in a rural high school
  • Full tuition for the certification program of your choice (on-line, local college of education, or TAPP)
  • Extra financial stipend above the salary from the school district
  • Funds for materials and supplies
  • Funds for professional development
  • A summer training program and online support during your first year of teaching
Info Session: Monday 3/12, 4:30PM
Clough Commons 262

Apply online at preteaching.gatech.edu.
Deadline: 3/28 at 5PM.
