For recent graduates, History Associates Inc provides a unique opportunity to pursue a rewarding career practicing history in a professional and collegial business environment.
History Associates provides a wide range of historical and information services to clients. These include:
·       Conducting historical research in repositories throughout the United States and worldwide
·       Processing and storing archival records and artifacts to preserve material and historical significance
·       Establishing records management programs
·       Writing a variety of institutional histories and gathering oral/video histories
·       Developing historical exhibit content
·       Providing a range of interpretive planning services for historic sites
History Associates seeks excellent students (GPA 3.5 or higher) with research and writing experience and the ability to work independently, think creatively, and adapt quickly. Although they prefer that historians possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in history, they also consider those from related disciplines who have an outstanding academic record, good research skills and experience and a passion for history. Archivists must possess a Master’s degree in history, library science, or a related discipline with degree concentration in archival studies. They are especially interested in historians/archivists with new media and collection management or exhibit development experience.
