In 1997, Jennifer Orr, the president of the Georgia Tech Women's Student Union, began Womens Awareness Month, a month of programming to increase awareness of women's issues at Georgia Tech. Since then, Womens Awareness Month has developed into an annual spring event that brings female role models to the Georgia Tech campus and develops programs that provoke questioning about and discussion of womens issues and women’s roles on the Georgia Tech campus and in society. For more information about Womens Awareness Month, please visit www.wam.gatech.edu.
Women's Awareness Month is now accepting applications for their 2012-2013 executive committee. Applications for the overall chair are due by Thursday, April 11 at 5pm. All other position applications are due by Monday, April 16 at 5pm. If interested, please fill out our application online.
