Deadline April 1: The Washington Center is an educational non-profit organization that has partnered with various federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, Internal Revenue Service, Environmental Protection Agency, and others, to provide students with internship-centered academic terms in Washington, D.C. and other regional locations. Students selected for available positions within these agencies are provided in most cases with a biweekly stipend, as well as funding to cover travel to and from D.C. (or a regional location) and furnished housing. TWC has extended our deadline for the Competitive Government Programs to April 1. To complete an application, a student would visit portal.e.twc.edu and create an account. Once an account is created, the student should select "Competitive Government Program," which is Option 2. A completed application consists of a resume, 2 letters of recommendation, an official transcript, and a 1-2 page essay explaining why you would like to intern for the federal government. To qualify students must be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. For more info, please visit: www.twc.edu/competitive
