Are you looking to get involved on campus? Looking for a way to add to your resume? WAM has a solution for you.
Women’s Awareness Month (WAM), is a campus event that takes place every March, sponsored through the Women’s Resource Center, that increases awareness of women’s issues. WAM is composed of several events including the Red Dress Fashion Show, a performance of Eve Ensler’s “Vagina Monologues,” Women’s Day of Service, and Take Back the Night. All of these events require people to organize and staff them. That’s where you come in. A committee for WAM has already been created, but several committee chairs are still looking for members for a subcommittee. Subcommittee members would be completing a wide variety of tasks and learning valuable skills.
If you are interested in joining a subcommittee, or just supporting WAM through volunteering to work at some of the events, please go to http://jacketpages.gatech.edu/Community?action=getSurvey&surveyID=8259&orgID=20233 to fill out an application.
Contact Ali Kinser at akinser3@gatech.edu with any questions.
Thanks for you support of WAM!
