American Cancer Society Spring Internships in Atlanta

The American Cancer Society, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities. For more info about ACS programs, visit:

Candidate Requirements:  GPA: 2.7 or higher, US Citizen or Permanent Resident, and ability to work 20-40 hrs/wk
Internship Positions:  We are looking to staff two internship positions in January as described below. These internships are paid.

(1)  Search Marketing Specialist
· Consume search performance data from a variety of sources, including Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Omniture
· Distill performance data into actionable insights explained in a clear, concise way
· Research trends in search marketing and keep marketing teams appraised of new developments
· Identify opportunities for enhancements to better use ACS's search marketing budgets & resources
· Work with agency partners to continuously improve upon search engine optimization and search engine marketing programs
· Write search optimized copy for websites, review copy provided by others and make search optimization recommendations

(2)  Search Marketing Coordinator
· Work with the ACS's marketing team to collect reporting data on our SEM and SEO programs
· Consolidate data from disparate sources into a centralized repository
· Research and track ACS's organic search placements
· Research and track competitive organic search placements
· Work with Corporate IT to implement search enhancements to ACS owned web properties
· Perform QA of search enhancements to ACS web properties

    Colorectal cancer, cancer of the large intestine, is the fourth most common cancer in North America. Many cases of colorectal cancer are associated with low levels of physical activity and with diets that are low in fruits and vegetables. Individuals with a family history of the disease have a higher risk.
