Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority Inc., is coordinating Be the Change national day of service in honor of Mahatma Gandhi. We are looking for volunteers to attend service projects around Atlanta on Saturday, September 18th.
Be the Change is an annual day of service coordinated by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) that inspires and fosters civic engagement through volunteerism and community service. This year’s theme of Be the Change is “Leading a Movement,” which reflects the variety of ways volunteers give back to their community in the spirit of service. SAALT is a 501 (c)(3) national, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the South Asian community in the US.
The schedule for the day is the following:
7:00 - 8:00 Registration and Free Breakfast - Kessler Campanile
8:00 - 8:30 Guest Speaker - Kessler Campanile
8:30 - 9:00 Travel to Service Site
9:00 - 1:00 Volunteer Event - Various locations around Atlanta metropolitan area
