On January 12th, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the country of Haiti and over 50 aftershocks were felt in the days following the initial earthquake. Dr. DesRoches of the Civil Engineering department is using his expertise in structural engineering to assess structural stability of numerous buildings and to determine if they are safe to reoccupy.
Please join us Tuesday, March 16th at 11:00 am at the Clary Theatre located in the Student Success Center to hear Dr. DesRoches share his experiences in Haiti. This event is hosted by Gamma Beta Phi, an honor society at Tech that fosters the ideals of scholarship, service, and character. For more information on Gamma Beta Phi, click here. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
